Juli startenden Free Agency.

The fourth round of the NHL entry draft is a time for team to take some swings on undervalued players. The Habs have had some success drafting undersized players from that program in the past, albeit significantly higher in the draft. Montreal Victoire 2025 PWHL Draft recap -
The Montreal Victoire made five picks at the 2025 PWHL Draft on Tuesday night in Ottawa, and also made a major trade. The team acquired forward Abby Roque from the New York Sirens in return for Kristin O’Neill and a fourth-round pick (28th overall). Montreal general manager Danièle Sauvageau said that Roque brings grit and an element that the team was lacking, and that while it was tough to part with O’Neill, in order to get something in a trade, you do need to give something up. First round, 4th overall: Nicole Gosling, D Gosling was the consensus top player on the board when Montreal went on the clock and will fit in very well to a defence that lost Cayla Barnes and Anna Wilgren. They did add Jess DiGirolamo and Maggie Flaherty in free agency as well. Gosling arguably fits in better than Barnes did as she shoots left and offsets right-shot Erin Ambrose nicely. 2025 NHL Draft: Potential defensemen at 30 & 33 -
In a series of previous posts, we looked at what the San Jose Sharks could do with the second overall pick in the NHL Entry Draft on June 27. However, the Sharks also have a second pick in the first round, 30th overall. The team also has the 33rd overall, the first pick on day two of the draft, which is close enough to the first round that we figured we’d include it here. The two picks mean there are two opportunities for the Sharks to draft prospects with high NHL potential. With young goaltender Yaroslav Askarov in the fold and a strong group of forwards including Macklin Celebrini, Will Smith, Igor Chernyshov and Quentin Musty, the Sharks are looking good at two of the three key positions. What the team needs is a high-end defensive talent. Sam Dickinson may end up being that, but a little more depth at the position would go a long way to strengthening the prospect pool, especially on the right-hand side. With that in mind, here’s a look at some of the defe
