The Chase: Season 2, Episode 7 - "Next Man Up" | Calgary Flames -
After months of uncertainty surrounding his future in Calgary, Rasmus Andersson is no longer a Flame. While the trade with Vegas moves a core piece out of the Flames locker-room, incoming blueliner Zach Whitecloud looks to step in and make the most of the opportunity with his new team, elevating his role both on the ice and in the community. For most, Whitecloud is a fresh face around the Scotiabank Saddledome. But for fellow Golden Knights alum Brayden Pachal - who landed in Calgary off waivers two winters ago - it represents a reunion. The pair not only played and won the Stanley Cup together with the Knights in 2023... the Canadian prairie boys both lived together when cutting their teeth at the pro level with the AHL's Chicago Wolves back in 2019-20. Years later, they're rooming together again, thanks to Pachal's gracious invite to help his longtime pal get acclimated in the Stampede City. As good as the vibes are off the ice, on it, the Flames encounter a tough stretch, winn

Everett Silvertips punch ticket to 2026 WHL Playoffs -
Red Deer, Alta.- The streak lives! With a 6-3 win against the Red Deer Rebels on Tuesday night, the Everett Silvertips have clinched a berth in the 2026 WHL Playoffs. The U.S. Division club has never failed to qualify for the postseason since joining the WHL in the 2003-04 season. Silvertips Captain and Anaheim Ducks prospect Tarin Smith, a product of Porcupine Plain, Sask., set the tone by scoring on the first shot of the game less than a minute into the opening frame. Everett, 42-6-2-1, has won 10 consecutive games to sit first in the WHL's overall standings with a chance to repeat as Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy winners. With 17 games remaining in the regular season, the Silvertips are on pace for the team's first 50-win campaign since 2006-07, when the league still played a 72-game schedule. Detroit Red Wings first-rounder Carter Bear, Seattle Kraken pick Julius Miettinen and veteran Zachary Shantz have all hit the 20-goal mark, while 2026 NHL Draft-eligible

Despite being idle on Tuesday night, the Medicine Hat Tigers clinched a berth in the 2026 WHL Playoffs by nature of a 6-3, Red Deer Rebels loss at the hands off Western Conference juggernauts, the Everett Silvertips. Medicine Hat's 36-9-3-3 record has the Tabbies leading the Central Division while sitting second in the Eastern Conference and third league-wide. The 2025 Ed Chynoweth Cup winners will have a chance to become the first team to repeat as WHL Champions since, coincidentally, Medicine Hat pulled off the feat back in 1987 and 1988. Medicine Hat boasts two of the top scorers in the league in 2026 WHL Draft-eligible Liam Ruck and captain Bryce Pickford, a Montreal Canadiens prospect and the WHL's top-scoring defenceman. Pickford ranks fourth in goals among all WHL skaters with 33 tallies, while Ruck is right behind in fifth place with 32 strikes. Ruck's twin brother, Markus, has also broken out to
