The Calgary Flames could be without recently acquired defenceman Zach Whitecloud for some time. The Flames’ blueliner suffered an apparent injury as he went awkwardly into the boards after clipping skates with a Carolina Hurricanes player. The injury occurred in the first period of Saturday night’s game. He fell headfirst into the boards and immediately went to the locker room. The Flames later sent a post on social media saying he would not return for the night. It’s unknown whether it was just precautionary. New Calgary
