The schedule to open the season is road heavy for the Herd with five of the team's first six games being played away from the Scotiabank Centre. The latest Videotron Player of the Week in the QMJHL is Rouyn-Noranda Huskies goaltender Alexandre Raymond. The 18-year-old from Sherbrooke, Quebec helped the Huskies sweep their weekend slate of games by going 2-0-0-0 with a shutout, a 0.50 GAA and a .977% save percentage. On Friday night at home, Raymond got off on the right foot in his first appearance following time in NHL training camp with the Colorado Avalanche. The sophomore netminder steered aside all 24 shots he faced as the Huskies defeated the Drummondville Voltigeurs 6-0. It was Raymond’s third career QMJHL shutout and made him a worthy choice for first star of the game. Back at home on Sunday afternoon, Raymond saw his shutout streak to start the season end at just under 95 minutes. It’s that time of year, Blackhawks fans. With the 2026-27 regular season officially getting under way on Tuesday night, the moment has arrived for our bold predictions for the coming year. As always, make sure to bookmark this one to hold me accountable. And, as always, we’ll revisit these at the end of the regular season to see how I did when the dust settles.
