Description Steve Yzerman has reportedly asked the Dallas Stars for Wyatt Johnston in exchange for Dylan Larkin, and while many fans will view that as an unrealistic request, I think it sends a very clear message. After Dylan Larkin reportedly expanded his trade list to include the Dallas Stars, many believed negotiations could finally move forward. Instead, Detroit's asking price immediately became a major obstacle. Wyatt Johnston is younger, under team control, and has already produced a higher offensive ceiling than Larkin, making him an unlikely piece for Dallas to move. So why make the ask? In this video, I discuss what I believe Steve Yzerman is trying to communicate. The Red Wings aren't looking to make a trade simply because one has been requested. HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers Associate General Manager and Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Ryan Martin announced today that the club has re-signed defenseman Cooper Moore to a one-year contract for the 2026-27 season. Moore, 25, recorded seven points (1 g, 6 a) in 38 games with the Wolf Pack during the 2025-26 season. He also appeared in five games with the ECHL’s Bloomington Bison, notching two assists.
