A new top free agent is available on the NHL open market and unfortunately, there is no way the Philadelphia Flyers are a landing spot for him. Chris Kreider is agreeing to a mutual termination of his contract with the Anaheim Ducks. First reported by Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, the 35-year-old winger is going to become an unrestricted free agent as soon as the initial process is done and his one year remaining on his previously existing deal, has vanished to the ether. Obviously, the Ducks are in a financial bind thanks to Flyers general manager Danny Briere and his $18-million AAV offer sheet to Leo Carlsson, that Anaheim then decided to match. They

2027 NHL Mock Draft – First Round -

Blackhawks 2026-27 Preview: Goaltending -
Today we’re going to begin our series of previews looking ahead to the 2026-27 season for the Chicago Blackhawks. We’re breaking the previews up into goalies, defensemen and forwards. And we’ll start in the blue paint with the Hawks’ goaltending situation. There were plenty of holes in the Blackhawks’ performance last year, but there were also areas where we saw good growth and development. I would argue the biggest positive sign last year was the emergence of a legit No. 1 goalie in Chicago who could be a foundational piece to take the entire program to the next level(s). Spencer Knight showed that he’s ready to lead the depth chart and is good enough to win games the Hawks maybe shouldn’t. Having a legit No. 1 goalie is important. Two areas where the Blackhawks can help their goaltenders look better are allowing fewer shots on net and blocking more shots before they get to their netminders. Last year
