Episode 38: Goalie Fights & Soft Tampering | Tri-State Hockey Podcast -
Episode 38 of the Tri-State Hockey Podcast is packed with chaos, trade talk, playoff pressure, and big-picture NHL debate as Jonny Lazarus, Mike Rupp, and Arthur Staple break down everything happening around the Rangers, Devils, and Islanders. The guys open with the wild goalie fight between Igor Shesterkin and Jacob Markstrom and what it says about the Rangers’ toughness, swagger, and carryover into next season. From there, they dive into the Brady Tkachuk-to-New York conversation, what a potential trade package could look like, and whether he is the exact type of player the Rangers need. The Devils conversation follows with a closer look at Nico Hischier, leadership, New Jersey’s front office questions, and what changes could be coming. Then the focus shifts to the Islanders’ playoff push, their remaining schedule, Sorokin’s workload, and whether they can still get over the line. The episode wraps with listener voicemail, a look back at J.S. Giguere’s legendary 2003 run, and a fascin

Sharks playoff/lottery odds April 2, 2026 -
As has felt like the case all season long, no one seems to want to grab a hold of the playoffs and take control. As a result, the San Jose Sharks, unbelievably, are still a factor in the playoff race today, even as the team also vies for a potential lottery pick in the upcoming NHL Entry Draft. For Sharks fans, it’s the best of both worlds in some ways because you get the thrill of a playoff chase while still having the security of knowing that if your team falls just short, you have good odds of snagging a top ten pick in the upcoming draft. How often can you say something like that in any given season? So, as the Sharks start this morning with just nine games left in the regular season, here’s how the team looks in both races. San Jose Sharks playoff odds as of April 2, 2026 There were three games last night – two with Pacific Division implications.
