Vielä yksi mahdollisuus – entisestä Liiga-vahdista Ukko-Pekka Luukkosen kilpailija -
Buffalo Sabres on tehnyt sopimuksen Aleksandar Georgijevin kanssa. Yksivuotinen diili on 800 tuhannen dollarin arvoinen. Georgijevin ura otti valtavan iskun viime kaudella. No. 13 Joshua Ravensbergen: Sharks’ future in net? -
Joshua Ravensbergen is one of the newer names to pop up in the Sharks’ system, and he’s definitely someone to keep an eye on. San Jose picked him up in the 2025 draft, snagging him in round one, 30th overall. He’s a goalie, which means it’ll take some time before we see him anywhere near the NHL, but the foundation is there. Last year, he spent the season in junior hockey, showing flashes of calm, steady play that got scouts talking. As a new draftee, this is his first time on our Top 25 Under 25 list, so yeah, he’s very much a newcomer here. No. 14 Kasper Halttunen: A leaner and meaner forward -
Coming in at 14th on our Top 25 San Jose Sharks Under 25 is 20-year-old Kasper Halttunen. The Finnish forward has taken longer to develop than some might have liked, especially after looking so promising on his draft day in 2023. While his NHL-caliber shot is still something to marvel at, the rest of his game has not developed at the speed that Sharks fans would have liked. Halttunen did not have a prolific scoring season with the London Knights in the OHL and that will make fans take pause. After having a so-so start with the San Jose Barracuda, in which he scored four points in six games, Halttunen was sent back to his OHL team, the London Knights. There, he scored a respectable 41 points (21 G, 20 A) in 38 games and registered another 21 points (15 G, 6 A) in 17 games in the playoffs. While good, it was approximately the same points per game (1.07) that he scored last season, certainly not the progress you would hope to see from one of the more senior forwards in the

Michael Misa signs entry-level deal -
While it took a little longer than San Jose Sharks fans might have liked, first-round and second overall pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, Michael Misa, has officially signed his entry-level contract. “Michael is a gifted player and a hard worker who we are excited to bring into our organization,” said General Manager Mike Grier. “We are looking forward to his continued development as part of our group.” The 18-year-old Misa has been participating in the team’s Captain’s skates at Sharks Ice in San Jose, the unofficial workouts before the start of the season. While there’s no official word on where Misa will start the season, most pundits believe that he’s ready for the NHL. At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, he has a frame that should be able to hold up in the NHL, much like Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith did last season.

Ramblings: Price Contract to San Jose, Zary Signed, Players Drafted or Ranked Too High/Too Low in Yahoo (Sep 6) -
Carey Price is no longer a Montreal Canadien. Well, he hasn’t played a game for the Habs since the 2021-22 season due to a career-ending knee injury, so the trade of his contract with a 2026 fifth-round pick to San Jose for defenseman Gannon Laroque is mainly a paper transaction. San Jose Sharks acquire Carey Price, 5th round pick -
Five or ten years ago, it might have been a headline that would have had San Jose Sharks fans falling all over themselves, but today, it’s barely a blip on the radar. The Sharks have traded with the Montreal Canadiens, taking goaltender Carey Price and a fifth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft for defenseman Gannon Laroque. The trade is no surprise. The Canadiens needed to dump salary. The Sharks were pretty clearly the top contenders to offer up the cap space. In order to sweeten the deal, the Canadiens handed over the fifth-round pick and took a contract the other way to help keep San Jose below the 50-contract mark that all NHL teams have to adhere to. Will Price play for the Sharks? Fans might wonder that if, by some miracle, Price might play for the Sharks. The answer is no. Price has not played since 2022 when he injured his knee and if there was any likelihood that he could play, he would hav
