Frontenacs prepare to take on Generals for first time Friday night -
Kingston, ON - After winning all three of their games on the road last weekend, the Frontenacs return home Friday night to take on the Oshawa Generals on Country Night at Slush Puppie Place.  It wouldn’t take a lot of convincing to talk Frontenacs fans into the fact that last weekend was the best of the season for Kingston. Thursday, they beat the Barrie Colts with Alex Misiak and the offence shining in a 7-4 win. Friday, the Frontenacs went into Brampton and beat the Steelheads 4-2. The final game of the weekend was in Brantford, where Kingston played their most complete game of the season, beating the Bulldogs 4-2.  How could it get better than that? Well, how about some more offensive firepower being inserted into the lineup? Thursday, Frontenacs General Manager, Kory Cooper, announced the acqui

LA Kings Prospect Update – Week 9/28 -
Our weekly LA Kings prospect update returns for the first time this season. If you read these in previous seasons, you know the drill. If you’re new and reading this for the first time, I’ll go over this segment. Every week during the AHL regular season, we always give a weekly prospect update, highlighting the prospect of the week and providing the stats and games played for every prospect in the Kings system. This season, the format will change. First, I have always included forwards Alexander Dergachyov and Bulat Shafigullin. That will change. I will no longer include those two in these weekly updates, as they will never come to North America to play for the Kings. Secondly, I will not include Jack Hughes on this list as I did last year. Hughes is on an AHL contract and technically isn’t under contract with the Kings on an NHL contract. This feature will focus on prospects in the CHL, overseas, NCAA, AHL, EC

Prospect Guide: Where the LA Kings Prospects will be playing this season -
The LA Kings will have their prospects scattered across several leagues this season. By my count, the Kings have 40 prospects in their system. With so many prospects to track, we will make a list of where each prospect will play in the system. Undecided (3) The Kings must decide on three of their prospects. Forward Vojtěch Čihař and defenseman Henry Brzustewicz could be loaned back to their junior teams, but are also eligible to play in the AHL. Čihař, 19, is a European import in the WHL, so the CHL-NHL transfer agreement rules don’t apply. If the Kings feel he is physically mature enough, then we could see him on the Ontario Reign. Brzustewicz is 19, but the new CHL-NHL agreement rules allow an NHL team to place one 19-year-old CHL prospect on its AHL affiliates, so heR

Kitchener, ON- The Frontenacs finished their weekend with a trip to the Kitchener Auditorium to face the defending Memorial Cup champions, the Kitchener Rangers, for the first time this season.  The script was similar to Saturday night in Brantford when the Frontenacs surrendered the first two goals of the game. Royden Smith made his 4th start of the season and settled into the game after being tested a lot early. Later in the first period, Alex Misiak scored his second goal of the season, swinging the momentum in favour of the Frontenacs heading into the second period.  Carrying that momentum, Landon Wright and Nolan Snyder both scored for the Frontenacs to give Kingston their first lead of the game. They held the lead late into the second period before the Rangers struck with 43 seconds left in the frame, tying the game at three heading into the third.
