The San Jose Sharks’ prospect pool is loaded, but a lot of eyes have been on young Sam Dickinson. The 11th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft excelled when he returned to juniors after the draft, setting records and showing great promise as an offensive defenseman. The big question for Sharks fans heading into last summer was where the rookie would play in the 2025-26 season. Since the new collective bargaining agreement has not gone into effect yet, the Sharks needed to decide if the raw but talented defenseman would jump to the NHL or spend just nine games with the big club before finding his way back to juniors for another year of seasoning. There would be no in-between for the first-round pick because he wasn’t old enough to play in the AHL. Anthony Thomas-Maroon, the son of former Tampa Bay Lightning forward Patrick Maroon, is following in his father's footsteps, as he's signed with the Ontario Hockey League's London Knights for the 2026-27 season.

The London Knights have announced the signing of forward Geno Carcone to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Carcone, 19, recorded 52 points (13-39–52) in 58 regular-season games with the USHL's Green Bay Gamblers during the 2025-26 season. The 2006-born forward finished tied for second on the team in assists and ranked third in scoring. A native of Woodstock, Georgia, Carcone spent the past three seasons with the Gamblers, totalling 115 points (34-81–115) in 159 regular-season games.  

The London Knights announced today that the club has signed forward Anthony Thomas-Maroon to an OHL Scholarship & Development Agreement. Thomas-Maroon, 17, recorded 19 points (2-17–19) and 78 penalty minutes in 59 regular-season games with the USHL's Muskegon Lumberjacks during the 2025-26 season. The St. Louis, Mo. native was originally selected by London in the 11th round (222nd overall) of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection and is committed to Western Michigan University for the 2027-28 season. He is also the son of longtime NHL veteran and London Knights alumnus Patrick Maroon.
