Flyers prospect Martin Psohlavec heads to WHL for key development year -
Some Philadelphia Flyers prospects still have to figure out where they will be playing next season as they all have fairly crucial years for their development, but at least one recently drafted goaltender now has that question answered. Martin Psohlavec is one of the more intriguing new prospects in the Flyers system and now he is making the jump from playing in his home country of Czechia all the way to Western Canada. He has agreed to a deal with the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades to play for the junior team next season. Psohlavec was a second-round draft pick for the Flyers in the 2026 NHL Draft at 62nd overall and one of two goalies taken by the team last month.

Grading the Montreal Canadiens’ 2026 NHL Draft class -
Gleb Pugachyov 26th overall | Chaika Nizhny Novgorod, W, 6’3″ 224 lbs.Grade: A I like that the Montreal Canadiens traded up and got a player they wanted and didn’t think would be there two picks later. This pick is addressing an organizational need: a big, physical player who can take up the reins from Josh Anderson down the line. When it comes to Gleb Pugachyov, there is a lot to like with him. What stands out to me is the fact that he isn’t a player that necessarily gets you to the playoffs, but he gets you through the playoffs — and he loves the playoffs. There is also the fact that he had a few KHL games this season. While the point total isn’t much (three in 13 games), the hit count certainly is; in the MHL he had close to two hits a game, but in the KHL he was close to three per game. It could be easy to hit against your peers especially with a size advantage, b

From the outside, Zach Olsen's rise through the NHL Draft ranks might have some scratching their heads. The bare stats don't necessarily fly off the page- but as Olsen's coaches, teammates and opponents will tell you, goals and assists don't tell the full story. In fact, in a recent poll by The Athletic's Scott Wheeler, the Saskatoon Blades winger was voted the most underrated player in the 2026 NHL Draft class by his peers. "He's always moving," Blades star and fellow draft-eligible forward Cooper Williams said. "He's big and he's strong, and when you add his speed to it, he's hard to stop in puck battles, and he's just always competing as hard as he can." https://twitter.com/scottcwheeler/status/2067013040051032424 In a sophomore season that saw him switch from centre to right wing, Olsen posted 18 goals (including three game-winners) and 16 assists for 34 points in 57 regular-season games, along with a team-leading 79 penalty minut

Det är en energifylld 24-åring i Tristen Robins som svarar i telefon när Hockeynews ringer upp honom. Berätta om er vänskap. – Den började när vi spelade midgethockey ihop, ett och ett halvt, två år tillsammans.
