Everett, Wash.- Kallie Cullison remembers begrudgingly plopping down in her seat at Angel of the Winds Arena as her dad, Chris, and brother, Derek, cheered on the Everett Silvertips. Sometimes, she'd beg to go home. But as seasons rolled by, hockey started to grow on her. "I think I was about 12 when I decided, 'Oh, this is kind of cool,'" Cullison recalled. "I became obsessed with the team. At the time, you could have asked me any stat of any player, and I would have known the answer. It kind of just went from there, and then my family got season tickets for the 'Tips." Soon enough, Kallie and Chris became some of the loudest fans in the rink- particularly when their favourite player, Montana Onyebuchi, was riling up the visiting team. But the thought of a career in hockey didn't truly set in until years later. After graduating from high school, Cullison was studying nursing and sonography, but knew she hadn't found her passion.
