Roman Kantserov’s arrival has Blackhawks fans excited and they should be, as he led the KHL in goals this season at just 21 years old. His stats and accomplishments are drawing comparisons to other past young Russian stars including Artemi Panarin, Evgeni Malkin and Kirill Kaprizov. Some scorers have a favorite spot on the ice but he’s shown that he can score from in close or from range, from in the slot or on the wing, and off the rush or off the cycle. He’s a really versatile scorer. He’s also a dangerous addition to a power play that could use the help. J

Jag tror det är smart att ta in en spelare som Isac Born, och rapporterna från Schweiz och folk som sett Klas Dahlbeck indikerar att det är exakt den typen av spelare man behöver. Han säkrade också sin centersida relativt tidigt, så han slipper rusa med i (för) dyra centerjakter nu. Att utse något lag som värvat bäst är svårt. Överlag när jag tittar på lag som värvar så är det väldigt sällan som jag tycker att det är katastrof rakt igenom. Jag känner lite som sportcheferna själva gör den här tiden på året. Att det andas optimistiskt och ser uppsidan i mycket av de som presenteras. JE
