GM #80: Winnipeg Jets @ Vegas Golden Knights -
Well, here we are in mid-April….the National Hockey League’s regular season has almost reached its conclusion and the Winnipeg Jets’ playoff hopes have all but evaporated. While our club hasn’t been mathematically eliminated, the True Northers have just a 0.5% chance at qualifying (according to MoneyPuck). A slew of injuries (137 games missed by Winnipeg’s top 15 players) and too many underperforming secondary scorers has seen our Jets go from soaring with the NHL’s elite franchises to mired in the mud with the league’s bottom feeders in just one season. If you took your DeLorean time machine back in time one full year, you would find the True Northers with 114 points on the season with only 2 games to play (would split those games). Compare that to today, where Winnipeg’s 82 points with 3 games left has them with a disappointing 32 points less. Quite the swing. Unless th

Country Grammar: Blackhawks vs. Blues Preview -
The Blackhawks continue their season-ending homestand on Saturday afternoon at the United Center against the St. Louis Blues. Since the turn of the new year, the Blues have played better than their first-half disaster suggested, but not nearly well enough to make the turnaround complete and qualify for the playoffs. They tightened up defensively, got steadier goaltending, and generally looked more competent after the new year, including putting together mostly break-even shot metrics like a 49.63 percent shot attempt share and 50.22 percent expected goal share in that span. Unfortunately for the Blues, despite the improvement, the team was just never able to string together the kind of run needed to erase their ugly start. So, instead of mounting a real playoff push, St. Louis has mostly spent the last few months hovering in that annoying space where they’re more respectable to bottom out but never actually close enough to matter — and now sit effectively out of the

GM #78: Philadelphia Flyers @ Winnipeg Jets -
Well, the National Hockey League’s 2025-26 regular season is nearing its conclusion…..and it has certainly been an interesting one for the Winnipeg Jets. Signed interpretations of the announcers and closed captions can only convey so much.Brice Christianson is trying to change that.“I grew up in a very strong deaf community that were huge sports fans,” Christianson says. “It’s a huge pillar in the community, but there was never anything like, ‘Hey, we want more accessibility.'”A child of deaf adults (CODA), Christianson is CEO of P-X-P, a company he founded in 2022 that advocates for access, inclusion and representation for the deaf community in sports.P-X-P has been working with the NHL, among other c
