MEET VILMER ‘THE VIKING’ SALÉN FORSBERG: PLAYER PROFILE -Selected 62nd overall in the 2026 CHL Import Draft, G Vilmer Salén Forsberg from Södertälje, Sweden became a Brantford Bulldog. Signed to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement this past summer, General Manager Spencer Hyman described Forsberg as a player with “hockey IQ far beyond his age” and “an incredible human being off the ice.” Nine games into the 2026-27 season, Salén Forsberg has six wins, a .931 save percentage and a complete shutout game one week ago. For the 6’6” Swede who carries “Viking” as a middle name and answers to it as a nickname, his start within the OHL is a step in a climb that has always come early. Joined by his billet roommate and fellow Bulldogs signee Adam Němec who even threw in a few questions of his own, we sat down with Forsberg to talk, and learn more about his journey from Södertälje, Sweden to the Brantford Bulldogs, and everything that came within it.

Ottawa, ON- It was a Sunday matinee in Ottawa for round two of the OHL Rivalry Week as the Frontenacs looked to complete the weekend sweep of the 67’s The Frontenacs surrendered the first goal in Ottawa on Sunday, but outside of that, it was an excellent opening 20 minutes for Kingston. Spencer Bowes would score for the 67’s, but Nolan Snyder would respond with his ninth of the season courtesy of a pass from Cole Zurawski.
