The CHL Isn’t Just Losing Players — It’s Losing TOP Players | Frozen Assets Finale -
NCAA DIV I Hockey Programs: https://www.collegehockeyinc.com/mens-teams-and-conferences/ CHL.CA https://chl.ca The landscape of junior hockey has changed — and the impact is becoming impossible to ignore. In the final episode of Frozen Assets: The NIL Revolution, we look at Landon DuPont and the Everett Silvertips as a case study for what one year of CHL-to-NCAA eligibility has meant for major junior hockey. DuPont is leaving Everett for the University of Michigan in his pre-draft season. If he ultimately becomes the first overall pick in the NHL Draft, we could see a second consecutive year in which a potential No. 1 selection left the CHL for the NCAA before being drafted. But DuPont is only part of the story. Five of Everett’s seven leading scorers from last season are heading to the NCAA. That raises a much bigger question: Is the CHL simply losing players — or is it beginning to lose some of its best and most important players? We’ll look at what happened in Everett, what it coul

Canada pulls off semifinal comeback to set up rematch against United States in Hlinka Gretzky Cup gold medal match -
Edmonton, Alta.- It took two tying goals and a third-period comeback, but Canada overcame a slow start to best Finland 6-3 in semifinal action on Friday evening at the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. The Canadians will improve on last year's bronze medal at the prestigious U18 tournament, and will get a chance at gold against the reigning champion United States. Lethbridge Hurricanes netminder Leif Oaten was named Canada's Player of the Game with a 24-save effort, highlighted by a massive powerplay stop in the third period.
