Dozen CHL players feauted in TSN’s preseason 2027 NHL Draft ranking -
A dozen CHL players are featured in TSN's 2027 NHL Draft preseason rankings. As is the consensus heading into the season, the group is led by Everett Silvertips defenceman Landon DuPont. Earlier this summer DuPont captained Canada to gold at the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and helped the Silvertips to its first WHL title last season. “DuPont is destined to be a franchise player in the NHL, period," said TSN's Director of Scouting Craig Button. Incoming Quebec Remparts forward Carter Meyer is ranked no. 3 while fellow QMJHLer Alexis Joseph of Saint John is ranked no. 5. Saginaw's Dima Zhilkin (no. 8) and Seattle's Brock England (no. 10) round out the Top 10 while 12 of the 20 players listed play in the CHL. The 2027 NHL Draft will take place June 25-26 in a yet to be determined location.

Elite Prospects names 39 CHL players in 2027 NHL Draft Preseason Top 64 -
A total of 39 CHL players have been named in Elite Prospect's 2027 NHL Draft ranking and players to watch list. The list is led by Everett's Landon DuPont who earlier this summer captained Canada to gold at the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and helped the Silvertips to its first WHL title last season. "At this point, Landon DuPont needs no introduction," wrote Mitchell Brown, Elite Prospect's Head of Scouting and Pro content. "He’s an elite skater with the pace to match, making high-skill plays at a speed very few match. Coupled with his non-stop activation, shifts where he’s not making an impact are a rarity. Defensively, his game arguably shines even more, emphatically winning battles and dislodging pucks before breaking ankles on the exit." Guelph's Jaakko Wycisk is the next highest ranked CHL player at no. 5 after he impressed as a rookie with the Storm a year ago. "A top playmaker in the class and one of its best stickhandlers, Wycisk also boasts the physical skills and the frame ne

Roster reduced by three at Goodlife Fitness Training Camp -
2026-09-06 The Halifax Mooseheads reduced the roster at Goodlife Fitness Training Camp by three players on Sunday morning when 16-year-old forwards Émrik Ménard, Jamie Calla were reassigned and 19-year-old defenceman Brenden Espenell was released after clearing waivers. The subtractions leave Halifax with 23 players, including 14 forwards, seven defencemen and two goaltenders as the team prepares to announce the opening night roster for the 2026-27 season. Ménard was the top pick by the Mooseheads at the 2026 QMJHL Entry Draft when he was selected seventh overall at Scotiabank Centre. The native of Acton Vale, QC is a highly regarded piece of the future for the team but will get an opportunity to develop and play a full season in a prominent role at a lower level after he suffered a shoulder injury last season an

OUR 18 – Improved Mooseheads hope to stand out in the herd -
At times last year, the Mooseheads looked like a team poised to build off a stunning 2025 postseason run. At other times, they fell well below that level. The club has made a number of moves to ensure a more consistent – and more competitive – season awaits the fans in Halifax. First, the returnees; the top three scorers from the forward ranks last year – Oleg Kulebiakin, Shawn Carrier and Quinn Kennedy – are back for another season. Daniel Walters brings his heavy, combative style to the ice for a third ‘Q’ campaign. A pair of off-season transactions has added to this already impressive crew. On the draft floor in Halifax, a trade was finalized that saw slick puck mover Mateo Nobert come over from Blainville-Boisbriand. During training camp, the Moose acquired winger Nathan Langlois, a breakout player with Rouyn-Noranda last year, from the Huskies. Preparing to make his ‘Q’ debut is Paul Sintschnig, the second overall selection in the 2006 CHL Import Draft, who comes to North America

OUR 18 – Newcomers featured everywhere in the land of the Armada -
The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada came within a game of advancing to the Gilles-Courteau Trophy Final last year. While the fans carry those memories forward, there are many people now in the fold who weren’t part of the experience just a few months ago. The turnover in Blainville will be vast. Due to various factors, exactly one of the team’s top ten scorers from last year will be back with the club to start the season; center Matt Gosselin. He’ll be joined by fellow returnee Torkel Jennersjo, who has established himself as a pesky, hard-working presence in the Armada lineup, as well as Elliot Dubé, who begins his first full season with the club. Along with these familiar faces will be numerous newcomers to the organization, including skilled American center Mason Moreland, formerly of the WHL Saskatoon Blades, Russian winger Andrei Milyayev and 2026 third overall pick Jacob McKinnon. Defenseman Olivier Filaj and Zackary Plamondon return to lead the play away from the puck, bolstered
