NHL Prospect Watch: Edmonton Oilers -
In the lead-up to the 2026-27 hockey season, we’re diving into the WHL prospect pool for every NHL team. After logging two goals and an assist in the WHL postseason, the 6-foot, 183-pound winger made his professional debut with the AHL's Bakersfield Condors on an amateur tryout and notched a goal and two assists in eight regular-season and playoff games. He's currently representing Canada at the 2026 World Junior Summer Showcase in hopes of hitting Edmonton for the 2027 IIHF World Junior Cha

Ranking Bruins' best contracts: Pastrnak, Swayman deals look like steals -
The NHL’s salary cap is rising, and so are contracts.A few weeks ago, the Anaheim Ducks matched a five-year, $90 million offer sheet that forward Leo Carlsson signed with the Philadelphia Flyers. Carlsson became the highest-paid player in league history on a per-year basis at $18 million. He was soon overtaken by San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini. The young superstar signed a five-year deal worth $18.8 million per season earlier this week. That contract begins in 2027-28.There are currently 12 players whose contract has a salary cap hit of $12 million or more next season. Only six players had a cap hit of $12-plus million last season. With so many big contracts being signed, it seemed like an appropriate time to look at the Bruins’ cap sheet. The rising cap has made several of the Bruins’ contracts look pretty darn good. Let’s rank the five-best deals on Boston’s roster right now.

What does the future hold for Dylan Larkin? What went wrong behind the scenes in Detroit? And what should fans expect heading into next season? Later, Sheng Peng joins the show to discuss Macklin Celebrini's historic new five-year, $94 million contract extension with the San Jose Sharks ($18.8 million AAV). The two dive into what the deal means for the Sharks' future, how it affects upcoming negotiations for San Jose's young core, and why Celebrini's contract could redefine the NHL marketplace for elite young stars. They also examine the ripple effects across the league, future contracts for Connor Bedard and other franchise pla
