Sopimuksen päätyttyä Dach on jälleen rajoitettu vapaa agentti. Oilers hankki Dachin viime kauden siirtotakarajalla Chicago Blackhawksista yhdessä Jason Dickinsonin kanssa. Dach Signs Reasonable Extension With Oilers -
Some contracts are about rewarding production. Others are about preserving opportunity. Dach Signs Reasonable Extension With Oilers Caprice St-PierreMon, July 13, 2026 at 4:52 a.m. UTC·4 min readSome contracts are about rewarding production. Others are about preserving opportunity. The Edmonton Oilers didn't need Colton Dach to score 25 goals before deciding he was worth keeping around, because they saw enough over the second half of last season to believe there was more coming. That is ultimately what this two-year extension represents. It isn't payment for what he's already accomplished so much as an investment in what Edmonton believes he'll become. There isn't much risk attached to that thinking. At $1.2 million per season, Dach doesn't have to transform into a top-six winger for this contract to work out. If he settles into being a dependable third-line player who forechecks relentlessly, finishes checks, wins pucks back and chips in enough offence to keep teams hon

Sunday Scramble: There’s nothing wrong starting Isaac Howard in the Oilers top-six next season -
My colleague Tyler Yaremchuk wrote a column this week arguing the Edmonton Oilers must use their current cap space to acquire a top-six winger.  I don’t feel that way, given some of the names suggested.  If you’re calling Vancouver, you’re calling about Brock Boeser, not about Jake DeBrusk. If you’re calling Detroit, you’re asking about…
