The 19-year-old from Montreal turned in a perfect 2-0-0-0 record with a 1.00 GAA and .964% save percentage as the Eagles continued to surge up the Eastern Conference standings. On Friday night in Moncton, Beckman steered aside 21 shots, including ten of eleven in the second period, as the Eagles defeated the Wildcats by a score of 4-1. It was the sixth time over the last seven starts in which the veteran netminder has allowed three goals or fewer and ran his personal win streak to three games. Both his run and that of his team would continue on Sunday afternoon at home. Kingston, ON – The Kingston Frontenacs delivered a dominant performance Sunday afternoon at Slush Puppie Place, shutting out the Brantford Bulldogs 5-0, scoring all five goals in the third period. After 40 minutes of scoreless hockey, the Frontenacs found their offensive rhythm in the final frame, scoring five times to pull away from the Bulldogs and secure their fourth consecutive victory. Goaltender Royden Smith was outstanding between the pipes, stopping all 12 shots he faced to record the first shutout of his OHL career. Kingston, ON- It’s the Halloweekend, and the Kingston Frontenacs are celebrating by hosting the Peterborough Petes for the second time in October. It was on the second of October that the Frontenacs beat the Petes by a score of 5-3. Back at the beginning of the month, Nolan Snyder was named the first star, and Matthew Minchak made 43 saves in the win. Since then, the Frontenacs have had a very successful October, going 6-2-0-0 in eight games. Two of those wins came last weekend against the Ottawa 67’s. In an incredibly successful weekend, the Frontenacs outscored the 67’s 10-3 over the 120 minutes of hockey. Friday night, they won 4-2, and Sunday in Ottawa, they dominated 6-1, backed by impressive goaltending from Royden Smith, who made 38 saves in the win.

Yes, in the second game of the weekend, the Kingston Frontenacs make their way to Ottawa for the second match of Rivalry Week in the Ontario Hockey League. Friday night, the Frontenacs played one of their best games of the season, beating the 67’s by a 4-2 score. The Ottawa 67’s and the OHL playoffs are about as synonymous as Henrik and Daniel Sedin – where one is, you can often expect the other to be nearby. The 2024-25 season was a blip on the radar in that regard, but perhaps it’s what’s given an increased push to a 67’s team that appears on the verge of contending for OHL and Memorial Cup championships. A second-round loss to the eastern conference champion Barrie Colts was nice step forward for the 67’s last season, but it’s also given them extra motivation in their continued pursuit of the ultimate junior hockey hardware. This season hasn’t lacked turnover for the 67’s, who are without seven of their top 12 scorers from a season ago, including their top two. In Friday’s post-game interview, the game against the Generals was described as a fans' favourite but a coach's nightmare. While that feels like a slight exaggeration of the win, it was a wild scene at Slush Puppie Place. The Frontenacs spotted the Generals three goals before mounting their comeback. Tomas Pobezal, Robin Kuzma, and Nolan Snyder all scored in the second period. In the third period, the newest Frontenac, Cole Zurawski, tied the game at four, forcing overtime. In the extra frame, Nolan Snyder played the role of hero, scoring his seventh of the season and giving the Frontenacs the extra point.

CHL to NHL: Pinchuk suits up for the Predators -Kingston Frontenacs alumnus Vitali Pinchuk made his debut for the Nashville Predators on Saturday when they visited the Ottawa Senators. Pinchuk played in 11:10 of ice time and recorded an assist on Ross Colton’s game-opening goal 8:50 into the first period. A native of Zhlobin, Belarus, Pinchuk played for the Frontenacs during the 2019-20 season, where he scored 13 goals and added 21 assists in 54 OHL contests. He was selected by the Frontenacs in the second round, 62nd overall, of the 2019 CHL Import Draft. He has represented Belarus on the international stage on numerous occasions, in which he has won a silver medal at the 2019 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival and a gold medal at the 2020 D1 World Juniors. Playing for Dinamo Minsk in the KHL since the 2020-21 season, Pinchuk has been named a KHL all-star on three occasions. Pinchuk signed a free-agent contract with the Predators this spring.

The rookie from Rhode Island was absolutely dialed by making 27 saves through regulation and overtime plus another five in the shootout as he denied every shooter the Volts sent out on the ice. Nathan Langlois played the hero by scoring the only goal of the five-round shootout to end it after he also scored the only goal for the Herd in regulation. Box Score Mertz wasn't just solid, but he made several spectacular stops and non bigger than his miraculous dive back across the crease midway through the second period to get the glove out and rob Ottawa Senators prospect Louis-Felix Bourque point blank. CHL to NHL: Former Colts captain Beaudoin makes NHL debut with Rangers -Former Barrie Colts captain Cole Beaudoin made his NHL debut for the New York Rangers when they took on the New York Islanders at Madison Square Garden. Beaudoin was +1 and had two penalty minutes over 9:57 of ice time in a 5-2 Rangers win. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Beaudoin was the 10th overall pick in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection by the Colts. He played four seasons for them from 2022-2026, where he served as an assistant captain from 2023-2025 and their captain in 2025-26. In 236 regular season OHL games, Beaudoin scored 91 goals and had 130 assists. He added 16 goals and 33 assists in 50 playoff games, during which time the Colts won an Eastern Conference championship in 2026, made consecutive Eastern Conference finals appearances in 2025 and 2026 and won six playoff series in total.
