EVERETT, Wash. -- The Everett Silvertips announced coinciding roster moves today, adding forward Dominik Drábek to the roster while re-assigning forward Crosby Harrison to his affiliate club. Drábek, an '09-born Olomouc, CZE native, was originally selected 119th-overall in the second round of the 2026 CHL Import Draft by the Penticton Vees. He skated in 24 games last season for HC Dynamo Pardubice U17, posting 17 goals and 18 assists with 51 penalty minutes. He represented Czechia at the 2025 U17 World Challenge. In 2024-25, Drábek netted 11 goals with 11 assists over 33 games played at the U17 level. The Silvertips have re-assigned '08-born Crosby Harrison to a club to be announced. Harrison appeared in three games for the Silvertips.

By DANNY RODE - Jake Banicevic has made an immediate impression with the Red Deer Rebels. Banicevic joined the WHL squad after starting the season with the Whitecourt Wolverines of the AJHL. In his first four games with the Rebels, he’s accumulated three goals and a pair of assists. He collected an assist in his first game, Oct. 9 vs. Calgary, then added a hat trick to go with one helper in his third start, a 9-4 victory over the Victoria Royals this past Friday. The 18-year-old Banicevic is another of a strong list of players discovered by the Rebels scouts who are undrafted or playing at the Junior A level. Previously they’ve added the likes of Jaxon Fuder, Owen DeWitt and undrafted prospect Nathan Salisbury. Banicevic did have a previous taste of the WHL, attending the Victoria Royals camp. The Rebels acquired the playing rights for the Port Moody, B.C., native in exchange for a draft pick in 2028. He played just six games in Whitecourt, scoring three times to

Shore Shines as Cougars Edge Rockets 4-3 in a Shootout -KELOWNA, BC – The Prince George Cougars are back in the win column with their first road victory of the 2026-27 season, with a 4-3 shootout win over the Kelowna Rockets in front 4,124 fans at Prospera Place. The 2026 U17 World Challenge is scheduled for November 1-7 at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex in Oakville, Ont. Regina Pats forwards Liam Pue and Maddox Schultz return to represent Canada for the second consecutive year after helping Canada White to a silver medal at the 2025 U17 World Challenge. Both Pue and Schultz also represented Canada at the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, helping the National Men’s Summer Under-18 Team claim gold in Edmonton. Lakovic, 16, is a 6-foot, 181-pound right-shot forward from Kelowna, BC. The Rockets selected the local product in the sixth round, 113th overall, of the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.
