Regina, Sask. — The Regina Pats have signed 2026 first-round pick Fletcher MacDonald to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. MacDonald made franchise history earlier this month when he was selected ninth overall by the Pats in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft on May 6, becoming the highest-drafted goaltender in club history. Lethbridge, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club have announced the signing of 2008-born forward Logan Stuart to a Western Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement. “It means a lot to sign with the Hurricanes, and I couldn’t be more excited,” said Stuart. “I believe coming to Lethbridge is going to be what will prepare me the best for college hockey and beyond. The Lethbridge Hurricanes, Brandon Wheat Kings, Swift Current Broncos have completed a trade involving WHL playing rights to 2007-born forward Jake Stuart, 2007-born forward Hudson Kibblewhite, 2007-born defenceman Josh McGregor and two 2028 WHL Prospects Draft selections. Stuart, 19, was originally selected second overall by the Wheat Kings in the 2022 WHL US Priority Draft. The Manhatten Beach, California, product has split the 2025-2026 season with the Muskegon Lumberjacks and Sioux Falls Stampede in the United States Hockey League where he collected 16 points (6g-10a) along with 31 penalty minutes in 51 regular season games.
