The North Bay Battalion have acquired right winger Nikolas Rossetto from the Brantford Bulldogs in exchange for a sixth-round selection in the 2027 OHL Priority Selection originally belonging to the Peterborough Petes. Rossetto, a native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., was selected by Brantford in the third round, 53rd overall, of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection from the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 15U program. Prior to joining the Bulldogs, he played in the Soo Greyhounds minor hockey program, where he helped the U14 and U15 teams capture NOHL championships, led both teams in scoring, and was named the NOHL U15 MVP. He later recorded 81 points (54-27-81) in 58 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 15U. Rossetto made his OHL debut with Brantford during the 2024-25 season, recording 19 points (9-10-19) in 57 regular-season games while adding four points (1-3-4) in 11 playoff contests. For more than a decade, Jeff Kyrzakos and Brendan Taylor have been climbing the Ontario Hockey League coaching ranks simultaneously, and now, after years of sharing a bench, developing players and discussing what the future might hold, their journeys have come full circle. Brantford Bulldogs President of Hockey Operations Spencer Hyman today announced the hiring of Bryce O’Hagan as the club’s Goalie Coach.   O’Hagan, of Burlington, ON, has a long history in both the Ontario Hockey League and Internationally, having been originally drafted 55th overall in the 2007 OHL Priority Selection Draft by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Going on to play 107 games between the Greyhounds & Petes, where he formed batteries with the likes of NHLers Robin Lehner & Matt Murray, O’Hagan additionally represented Canada at the U17 World Hockey Challenge, Hlinka-Gretzky Cup & World U18 Hockey Championship, winning a gold medal at the 2007 U17’s.   After his time in the OHL, O’Hagan starred for the Brantford Eagles in the GOJHL. Vermirovsky played the 2025-26 season with HC Dynamo Pardubice in the Czech U20 league. "We're excited to welcome David to the Greyhounds organization," said Raftis. Saginaw, Mich. – The Saginaw Spirit have hired Brendan Taylor as the 11th head coach in team history, General Manager Dave Drinkill announced Wednesday.   “I want to start by welcoming Brendan to Saginaw,” said Drinkill. “He has earned this opportunity through his work ethic and a commitment to hockey. Former Soo Greyhounds and Windsor Spitfires goaltender Jack Campbell has announced his retirement from professional hockey. The 34-year-old native of Port Huron, Mich. played two seasons in the Ontario Hockey League from 2010 to 2012, arriving in the league from the U.S. National Team Development Program. Campbell played to a career OHL mark of 45-29-5-6 with a 3.62 goals-against average and .890 save percentage over 91 regular season games. He went on to appear in 176 NHL games over his career, posting a 93-52-18 record with a 2.76 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage. He last played with the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins in 2024-25. Originally selected 11th overall by the Dallas Stars at the 2010 NHL Draft, Campbell won a Calder Cup championship with the Texas Stars in 2014. Internationally, he represented the United States at three consecutive IIHF World Junior Championships, backstopping the Americans to gold in 2010.
