The move adds another established OHL veteran to a Storm roster that continues to build toward the 2026-27 season and its role as host of the 2027 Memorial Cup. “Among his many strengths, Owen has the ability to create offense both 5-on-5 and on the powerplay,” said Storm General Manager George Burnett. “He set himself apart with his playoff performance in 2025 and gained valuable experience helping his team to consecutive OHL Finals.” A native of Markham, Ont., Griffin was originally selected sixth overall by Oshawa in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection and spent hi

U18 Priority Selection: A Different Path, The Same Dream -
When the Ontario Hockey League introduced the Under-18 Priority Selection, it carved out a new pathway for players whose hockey journeys didn't follow a conventional route. For some, it offered a second chance to hear their name called after being passed over in the OHL Priority Selection. Winnipeg Jets: Prospects Report – Part 1 -
Well…my off-season here at Arctic Ice Hockey hasn’t began well, as it has almost been 2 weeks since my last article on the site. That lapse in time saw a few things happen involving the Winnipeg Jets organization, including the re-signing of bottom six forward Cole Koepke, the True North club getting unlucky at the Lottery Draft and falling to the 8th overall selection, and the Manitoba Moose being eliminated from the American Hockey League playoffs. All that skipped over because I decided to buy a new game for my XBOX and ended up discovering there was a 2 for 1 sale on. As a result, I have found myself playing a lot of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla & Anno 117: Pax Romana to the detriment of everything else. I wasn’t totally ignoring the hockey world, though I have watched surprisingly little of the playoffs to date. I certainly wasn’t disappointed that GM Kevin C
