The Guelph Storm have acquired forward Owen Griffin from the Oshawa Generals in exchange for forward Mark Pape, goaltender Cruz Reznik, a second-round pick in 2027, a second-round pick in 2028 (via Sudbury), a third-round pick in 2027 (via Niagara) and a fourth-round pick in 2028.   The QMJHL will unveil its 2026-2027 schedule in the coming days, and to whet your appetite, it announced today that there will be eight interleague games against the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). That’s double the number from last season, when the Gatineau Olympiques and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies faced off against the Ottawa 67’s and the Sudbury Wolves, respectively, in a home-and-away series. Those same two matchups will return this season, while the Val-d’Or Foreurs will face the North Bay Battalion, and the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada will go head-to-head with the Kingston Frontenacs, again in home-and-away series. Well…my off-season here at Arctic Ice Hockey hasn’t began well, as it has almost been 2 weeks since my last article on the site. That lapse in time saw a few things happen involving the Winnipeg Jets organization, including the re-signing of bottom six forward Cole Koepke, the True North club getting unlucky at the Lottery Draft and falling to the 8th overall selection, and the Manitoba Moose being eliminated from the American Hockey League playoffs. All that skipped over because I decided to buy a new game for my XBOX and ended up discovering there was a 2 for 1 sale on. As a result, I have found myself playing a lot of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla & Anno 117: Pax Romana to the detriment of everything else. I wasn’t totally ignoring the hockey world, though I have watched surprisingly little of the playoffs to date. I certainly wasn’t disappointed that GM Kevin C
