Nothing’s decided in the West just yet, but Colorado is looking for a commanding 3-1 series lead when action resumes in Minnesota on Monday night. A couple of games are on Tuesday’s slate, with Montreal up 2-1 and home for Game 4 against Buffalo with the nightcap being a pivotal Game 5 from Sin City in the deadlocked Anaheim/Vegas series. Minnesota and Colorado move on to Game 5 in Colorado on Wednesday while Tuesday’s slate is repeated on Thursday night with a reversal of the home/away spots on the scoreboard in each game. It is Game 5 of a best-of-five series. It is the first time that the Victoire will have the chance to use their well-earned home-ice advantage with a chance to move on to the Walter Cup Final. Home-ice advantage in a best-of-five series is tricky at times for the higher seed. You are guaranteed to be trying to close out a series or stay alive on the road. The flip side is that if the series goes five, you get to come back home. The higher seed is currently 0-7 in PWHL playoff series all-time after the Ottawa Charge eliminated the Boston Fleet on Sunday.
